Arusha National Park is a small yet captivating park in northeast Tanzania, near Arusha. It offers a picturesque view of Mount Kilimanjaro and is home to various plant and animal species. The park boasts numerous landscapes, ranging from lakes, waterfalls, and swamps to volcanos, mountains, and tropical rainforests, making it an ideal reserve for all kinds of animals. The swamps, rainforests, and lakes are also known to attract many beautiful birds, including the silvery-cheeked hornbill and thousands of pink-hued flamingos. The park is the only place in northern Tanzania where one can easily spot the black-and-white colobus monkey.
Mount Meru, located in Arusha National Park, Tanzania, is a stratovolcano at an altitude of 4,566 meters (14,990 feet). It is the second-highest mountain in Tanzania and offers a beautiful yet technically challenging climb. The peak offers panoramic views of the park’s steppes, Mount Kilimanjaro, and the Momella Lakes. A day hike on Mount Meru provides a unique perspective and a good change of pace. We also organize climbs to the peak for those with advanced mountaineering skills and experience.
