This morning, you’ll have breakfast at your hotel and a guided tour of Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Many cultures have influenced Stone Town, and you can see these influences. Your expert local guide will take you to the vibrant market, where you’ll experience the sights and smells of the bustling local trade. After that, you’ll visit the serene 19th-century cathedral, built on the site of the former slave market after slavery was abolished in 1873.
As you explore the streets, you’ll see Arab and Indian houses with hidden courtyards. The town has historic sites like the Tip Tip House, Old Fort, and People’s Palace Museum. Lunch at Silk Route Indian rooftop restaurant offers ocean views and great food. Afterward, we’ll take you back to the airport.
