In the morning, meet your knowledgeable guide for an exciting expedition through Tarangire National Park aboard a 4×4 Toyota Land Cruiser. This natural wonderland boasts expansive savannahs, iconic baobab trees, and seasonal wetlands that attract diverse wildlife, including magnificent elephants, graceful giraffes, and elusive fringe-eared oryx and gerenuk. The park is also home to herds of buffaloes, zebras, and wildebeests that are, in turn, followed closely by hungry predators like lions. Your open-roof safari vehicle provides an ideal vantage point for observing and immersing yourself in the natural wonders of this breathtaking park. As the day draws closer, depart the park and head to the Sangaiwe Tented Lodge for a tranquil and restful evening.

The day’s journey shall take you through the picturesque highlands of Ngorongoro after passing Lake Manyara. You will cross the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and eventually reach the vast plains of the Serengeti National Park by early afternoon. The next few days are dedicated to exploring the world-renowned Serengeti, home to the Big Five and countless other species. Your game drives promise exciting wildlife encounters, as each day on safari brings new surprises. You will spend three nights at Kati Kati Tented Camp, and depending on the season, the camp location will be chosen to optimize the opportunity for you to witness the Great Migration.

The following two consecutive days will entirely revolve around exploring the Serengeti, where you will be accompanied by a guide to track the wildlife in this pristine wilderness. The park’s remarkable creatures will be observed, their behavior studied, and their social structures unraveled. The Serengeti National Park, Tanzania’s third-largest, is renowned for its diverse landscapes, ranging from open grasslands in the south to woodlands and hills in the north and west. Together with Kenya’s Masai Mara, the Serengeti hosts the Great Migration, an awe-inspiring phenomenon of millions of wildebeests and zebras. Your base will be one of the Kati Kati Tented Camps strategically chosen to optimize your experience of the Great Migration.

After a nutritious breakfast, your Serengeti expedition proceeds. In the Seronera Valley, you may observe exciting predator-prey interactions as animals congregate around watering holes during the arid season. After having a picnic lunch, you will head towards the Ngorongoro Crater. Once you arrive at the crater, be prepared to be mesmerized by the magnificent 20 km-wide caldera. This globally recognized UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to over 20,000 fauna species. Your overnight accommodation at the Ang’ata Ngorongoro Camp provides awe-inspiring vistas and a unique opportunity to witness a spellbinding sunset.

Begin your day early for an unforgettable experience! After a fulfilling breakfast, make your way down the steep path into the Ngorongoro Crater, which happens to be the largest unflooded caldera in the world. The crater is home to abundant fascinating wildlife, including zebras, wildebeests, and the elusive black rhino. You’ll also encounter hyenas, waterbucks, and over 500 species of birds. Enjoy a comprehensive game drive and a picnic lunch before departing the crater in the afternoon and returning to Arusha, concluding your adventure in the early evening.
